                        from Transylvania, Josef Alvintzy was another Austrian 
                        commander who learnt his trade against the Turks during 
                        the Seven Years War.
                       
                        In 1794, he beat General Dumouriez 
                        at Neerwinden and, 
                        while competitive against Napoleon 
                        Bonaparte at Arcola 
                        and Rivoli, eventually 
                        succumbed to the young military master.
                       
                        He became a field marshal and administrator of Hungary.
